St. Margaret’s financial aid program is need-based. Along with an assessment of parental income, assets and expenses, we consider a student’s potential to succeed academically and to become a contributing member of the school community. All new and returning students may apply for financial aid. There is no repayment requirement and the award is applied to one school year. Families are required to reapply each year so that SMS can make the necessary adjustments based on changes in circumstances or tuition. If you believe your family may qualify for aid, you should apply using the School and Student Services Parent Financial Statement and also submit a copy of your most recent Federal 1040, along with any supporting forms and schedules to the St. Margaret’s School Admission Office. The Parent Financial Statement (PFS) and supporting documents should be submitted by February 1. Financial aid awards are mailed with admission decisions on March 10th. Financial aid applications received after February 1 are considered on a rolling basis as space and funds permit.
