Brockenbrough House

Tourguide:

"The Brockenbrough House is one of the oldest buildings on campus. The project to preserve its historic architecture was completed in the summer of 2005. The school received help from foundations and people who love old houses. It has reopened as the home of Admission office and most likely the first place you will visit on campus."

SMS Facts:

Brockenbrough House was built around 1763. It's been the site of a Stamp Act demonstration in colonial times and was hit by a cannonball in the War of 1812, when a British warship came up the Rappahannock River. The ghost of Catherine McCall - the "Gray Lady" - is said to roam the house and grounds, looking for her fiancé.
