Chapel

Tourguide:

"Chapel is an important part of going to St. Margaret's. We're an Episcopal school, so a lot of us thought, 'OK, this is one of the things I have to do.' But you end up liking the time to collect your thoughts, be with the rest of the school, and think about things that really matter. It makes a difference in my day."

SMS Facts:

St. Margaret's was established in 1921 by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia to educate young women in the Christian tradition while also providing a fine secular education. The school gathers three days a week for Morning Prayer, led by the Chaplain and assisted by students and faculty. Services, while based on the Episcopal liturgy, are designed to be inclusive of many religious backgrounds. All students are required to attend. Participation in the service is optional, but all students must be respectful.
