"The River Lawn is a living symbol of St. Margaret's. A couple of times each year, the whole school takes the day off to enjoy the Rappahannock and learn more about its ecology and culture. It's also the place for two important school traditions: May Ball and Commencement. May Ball is a formal, family event where seniors are presented to the entire school community. Everyone has a great time!"
SMS Facts:
In addition to its fleet of canoes, kayaks, and sailboats, SMS owns a pontoon boat that students and teachers use for science classes and recreation. The school's dock is a popular place to relax and take in the river view.
