Volunteer

Want to become more involved with St. Margaret's? You can...

Serve as a class agent. Agents help keep class members in touch by collecting and compiling news once a year. Contact the Director of Alumnae Relations to learn more.

Make phonathon calls. Annual Fund phonathons raise money for student activities, faculty development and campus improvements. Calling other alums is fun, too. Contact the Director of Annual Giving to learn more.

Volunteer for the Rappahannock River Run. Interact with current students and parents at this annual fall event while raising money for school projects. Contact the Director of Alumnae Relations to learn more.

Help with reunion. Volunteers work with the Alumnae Office to provide exciting summer reunions. We need class chairs to encourage attendance, as well as on-site help with registration, decorations and other logistics. Contact the Director of Alumnae Relations to learn more.

Host a gathering. Open your home to alumnae and parents for a local St. Margaret’s event. Contact the Director of Alumnae Relations to learn more.

Refer students. Let the Admission Office know about girls you’d be proud to see at St. Margaret’s. Read our student profile.

Sponsor a student intern. SMS seniors spend two weeks exploring careers in late February to early March. Contact the College Counselor if you’d like to sponsor a student in your workplace.

Share your knowledge. Each month, students hear from an evening speaker whose expertise complements the curriculum. Contact the Speakers Bureau Coordinator if you or someone you know can make an appropriate presentation.

Open doors for SMS. If you serve on a corporate board or have ties to a foundation, you may be able to make helpful connections for the school’s fundraising efforts. Contact the Director of Development to learn more.
