Alumnae Elect
New Association Officers for 2001-2003![]()
At their annual meeting in June, St. Margaret's alumnae elected a team of experienced volunteers to lead their association for the next two years.
President Trudi Barton Allcott '77 has served as president-elect since 1999 and has been a member of the Executive Board since 1995. Trudi has held a variety of positions in mass media and communications, including a stint as a journalist for ABC-TV in Washington. She currently works as manager of communications for Owens & Minor, a Fortune 500 medical supply distributor, where she focuses on public and investor relations. Trudi lives in Richmond's historic Ginter Park with her husband, Will, two dogs, and a cat. To read her message to the SMS Alumnae click here.
President-Elect Caroline Silek Noble '92 has served as vice-president since 1999. She previously was the association's secretary and worked in the SMS development and alumnae office as a college intern. Caroline, an at-home mom and church volunteer, lives in Williamsburg. She and her husband, Michael, are the proud parents of Kannon, age 2.
Vice-President Courtenay Tayloe Altaffer '66 has been an active SMS volunteer for more than two decades. For the last two years, she served as the association's secretary. Courtenay is the mother of alumna Anne '92 and two other grown children. She lives in Fredericksburg.
Secretary Nancy Swecker Swan '85 joins the Executive Board after serving as an at-large member of the Alumnae Council. A class agent, entrepreneur, and mother, she lives in Charlotte, NC, with her husband, Peter, and three young daughters.
