Learning how to be a contributing member of a community is one of the most important aspects of the "education for life" that SMS provides. St. Margaret's community service program takes the lessons learned on campus and expands them into the world beyond Water Lane. Each student is required to spend at least 12 hours each year in approved service activities - and many students go way beyond that.
Students also initiate service projects of their own, recognizing needs in nearby towns and counties and doing what they can to help.
