Lynnette started her career in a local Long Term Care facility and worked for the past 25 years of her nursing career with Riverside Health System. She worked in various positions within Riverside including: Charge nurse on the Med-Surgical unit, Staff Nurse in the operating room, Hospital Supervisor, Nurse Manager on the Skilled Nursing Unit, Home Health RN Case Manager, and most recently opened The Orchard in 2002, Riverside's Long Term Care Facility and was Director of Nursing there for the last 7 years.

Lynnette lives off campus with husband, Eddie and son, Jonathan. She has another son, J.T. in Graduate School at Columbia University. They have a dog named Leo, and a snake named Tony.
