Ms. Spraitzar has developed French language skills and teaching methodology while studying at Laval University, Quebec City, and the Alliance Francaise, Paris, as well as teaching French locally at Essex High School for four years. Her most recent stint abroad was in Paris in the fall semester of 2005 through the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program. A recipient of several piano competition awards while in school, she now gives piano lessons.

Ms. Spraitzar lives on campus and serves as dorm parent.
