American University Assistant
Coach Nate Franks will direct
this Revolution Field Hockey Camp. Nate joined
AU in 2007 helping the Eagles to a fifth
consecutive Patriot League Tournament
Championship Title and a #17 National Ranking in
the NFHCA Division I Polls.
As a player, Nate began in high
school under the tutelage of Georgetown
University assistant coach and former Canadian
National Team member, Scott Smith. This training
helped him become a member of the United States
National Team practice squad in the summer of
2002. He is a Princeton University graduate and
worked as the Tigers team manager and
videographer for three seasons (2003-05) before
becoming the student assistant in 2006. During

able to use his experience as a player on the
practice fields. He worked with the goalies and
the defensive unit each of the four years he was
with the squad, while also participating as a
practice player.
Coach Franks has been
affiliated with summer sports camps across the
country for many years and will bring a high
level of teaching prowess to campers at the
Revolution Field Hockey Camp.
