SMS International Visit to Jamestown Virginia

Jamestown, Virginia
October 2004

The Intermediate ESL classes and ESL History class studied colonial American history this fall. Pocahontas, her father Chief Powhatan, the colonists at Jamestown, and the struggles of the English in their attempts to settle the "New World" were topics our international students mastered. Ms. Bohon, ESL teacher, and Mrs. Rhinesmith, US History teacher, led the students on a tour of Jamestown where they could see for themselves this living museum. The countries represented this year are Japan, Korea, Liberia, Mexico, Taiwan and Thailand
