Rappahannock River Run 2000 race route

The 2nd Annual Rappahannock River Run course will repeat the route used in 1999. Race marshalls will be located at every turn to help runners follow the route safely. A water station at the 1.5 turnaround will be available to all participants.

2000 RACE ROUTE: Beginning in front of St. Margaret's Hall 444 S. Water Lane, the course will turn left out of St. Margaret's circular entranceway and continue south down Water Lane. Turn right on Jeanette Drive and continue on several tenths of a mile and turn right on Williams Street, followed by a quick left on to Charlotte Strett. Continue straight on Charlotte St. past the Post Office (on left) and the Rappahannock Times office (on right after crossing Wright Street). Turn right on to Earl Street, followed by a left back on to Water Lane. Continue straight past St. Margaret's School (on your right) and turn right at Prince Street. At the bottom of the hill, veer left on to New Bill Drive and continue under the bridge up to Rte 360, a major intersection. Turn right on to Rte 360 and make a quick right on to N. Water Lane. Continue down Water Lane until the cul de sac, which marks the 1.5 mile turnaround. The race course follows the same route back, runners keeping to righthand side of road.
