SMS Announces Honor, Merit Roll Students

Tappahannock, VA (March 19, 2001) - Hard work and good study habits have paid off for 55 students at St. Margaret's School, who have earned spots on the school's honor and merit rolls for the second trimester of the 2000-2001 academic year.

Students named to the honor roll have an average of 90 or above with no grade below a B. Local students include seniors Claire Stephenson of Tappahannock and Britton Faulkner of White Stone; junior Lisa Magness of Urbanna; and sophomore Claire Hopkins of Oak Grove.

Boarding students named to the honor roll include seniors Elizabeth LeBlanc and Alison Wasserman; sophomores Mariana Heredia, Hannah Lee and Evita Moody; freshmen Beth Brinkley, Jennifer Lee, Skye Rhodes-Robinson, Cariad Shepherd and Patricia Van Pelt; and eighth-graders Rachel Chang, Luanda Fiscella, Kacey Ko and Sunmi Lee.

Students earning merit roll recognition have an average of 87 or above with no grade below a C. Local students include seniors Sara Newman of White Stone and Cathy Ryan of Tappahannock; juniors Nikki Clark of Lively, Taylor Ellis of Dunnsville, Emily Fisher of Lottsburg, Olivia Longest of Tappahannock, Heather Porter of Walkerton, Kelly Proctor of Urbanna, Ruth Redfearn of Kinsale, and Sarah Taliaferro of Center Cross; sophomore Lindsay Neist of Howertons; freshmen Katie Carpenter of Irvington, Lauren Crockett of Irvington, Blair Fisher of Lottsburg, Jessica Hinson of Warsaw and Allison Smith of Warsaw.
