FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Richmond Forum Tickets Still Available

Tappahannock, VA (November 12, 2001) - Thanks to a local partnership, Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula residents can still get seats for the Richmond Forum presentation, "Faith and Values," on Saturday, January 19, 2002. The Bank of Essex, Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation and St. Margaret's School are sponsoring ticket and transportation packages from Tappahannock for the Forum's 2001-2002 season.

Monsignor Thomas Hartman and Rabbi Marc Gellman will present a Richmond Forum program on faith and values on January 19, 2002. Tickets for local residents are available through the joint sponsorship of the Bank of Essex, Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation, and St. Margaret's School.

The January program features Rabbi Marc Gellman and Monsignor Thomas Hartman, regular guests on Good Morning America; co-authors of How Do You Spell God?; hosts of the cable television show, The God Squad; and contributors to a monthly column in Self magazine on religion and modern life. Together, they will discuss an especially timely topic in our nation today: how many faiths answer universal questions about life, death and the Almighty.

Msgr. Hartman, director of radio and television for the Diocese of Rockville Center, earned an undergraduate degree in philosophy and a master's of divinity degree. He was ordained in 1971 and earned a doctorate in ministry from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley in 1979. Msgr. Hartman is the author of several books and the winner of multiple awards for his television work and writing.

Rabbi Gellman is senior rabbi of Temple Beth Torah in Melville, NY. He earned his bachelor's degree in Hebrew and Semitic studies from the University of Wisconsin in 1969. Rabbi Gellman was ordained in 1972 and earned a doctorate in philosophy from Northwestern University in 1981. He is the author of several books, two of them for children, and is a former faculty member at Northwestern and Hebrew Union College.

A Forum ticket and round-trip transportation from Tappahannock to Richmond is just $45. The chartered coach will drop ticket-holders off in the popular Shockoe Slip area for dinner on their own, take them to the Landmark Theater for the Forum program, then on to Tappahannock at the evening's conclusion. The bus leaves St. Margaret's School at 4:15 p.m. and returns at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Tickets also are available for these upcoming Forum presentations:

February 16, 2002 - Music industry icon Dick Clark presents his perspective on popular music and American culture, featuring recordings and video clips.

March 16, 2002 - Pulitzer Prize-winning historians Doris Kearns Goodwin and David McCullough will discuss the art of researching and writing presidential biography.
