SMS Students Study Local Courts

Photo left: - In a recent course on "You and the Law," students at St. Margaret's School learned how the American legal system works. Visiting the courtroom of General District Court Judge Mastin Davis were (left to right): Lindsay Swinson of Tappahannock, Lauren Crockett of Irvington, Blair Fisher of Lottsburg, Lindsay Neist of Howerton, Claire Hopkins of Oak Grove, Michelle Sylva of Tappahannock and Ann Kramer Osburn of Tappahannock. Partially obscured in the back row are Ruth Redfearn of Kinsale and Nikki Clark of Lively. The class, part of St. Margaret's two-week Minimester term, also met with Essex County Clerk Gayle Ashworth, Commonwealth's Attorney Mac Garrett, and attorney Fleet Dillard III.
