SMS Announces Honor, Merit Roll Students

Tappahannock (March 25, 2002) - Hard work and good study habits have paid off for students at St. Margaret's School, who have earned spots on the school's honor and merit rolls for the second trimester of the 2001-2002 academic year.

Students named to the honor roll have an average of 90 or above with no grade below a B. Local students include senior Kelly Proctor of Urbanna, sophomore Jessica Stokes of Tappahannock, and freshmen Annie Arnest of Kinsale, Neillee Katona of Dunnsville and Palmer Ware of Dunnsville.

Boarding students named to the honor roll include seniors Anne Czechanski, Carter Holloway and Virginia King; juniors Emily Chang, Kaoru Hoshino, Hannah Lee, Maggie Lu and Jessie Malm; sophomores Cecilia Farfan, Robin Ridderhof and Cariad Shepherd; freshmen Rachel Chang and Hye-Yoon Lee, and eighth-grader Brooke Shafer.

Students earning merit roll recognition have an average of 87 or above with no grade below a C. Local students include seniors Nikki Clark of Lively, Shannon Davis of Tappahanock, Taylor Ellis of Dunnsville, Olivia Longest of Tappahannock, Heather Porter of Walkerton, Rachelle Slotnick of Tappahannock, Sarah Taliaferro of Center Cross and Brittany Walker of Callao; junior Lindsay Neist of Howerton, sophomores Alli Johnson of Aylett and Allison Smith of Warsaw; freshman Catherine Chilton of Lancaster, and eighth-graders Victoria Grant of Montross and Erin Martin of Callao.

Boarding students earning merit roll recognition include seniors Katie Herrick, Shu Jin, Poo Monthienvichienchai, Nicole Silverstein and Maryama Tagoe; juniors Laura Caton, Evita Moody, Fola Ogundiran, Amanda-Hunter Taylor and Patti Webb; sophomore Yoo Ri Jung; freshman Sunmi Lee; and eighth-graders Jennie Lynne Leonard and Sarah Rice Stender.
