Tappahannock (March 10, 2003) - Hard work and good study habits have paid off for students at St. Margaret's School, who have earned spots on the school's honor and merit rolls for the second trimester of the 2002-2003 academic year.

Students named to the honor roll have an average of 90 or above with no grade below a B. Local students include junior Allison Smith of Warsaw, sophomores Annie Arnest of Kinsale, and Neillee Katona and Palmer Ware, both of Dunnsville; freshman Allison Ryan of Tappahannock and eighth-grader Michelle Burch of Burgess.

Boarding students named to the honor roll are seniors Emily Chang, Kaoru Hoshino and Hannah Lee; juniors Jeesun Lee and Hye Joon Yoon; sophomores Vera Attaway, Rachel Chang, Jennifer Clark, Kaoru Higaki and Kelly Reily; freshman Jennie Lynne Leonard; and eighth-graders Elizabeth Gartrell, Caitlyn Hardaway, and Aubrey Sozer.

Students earning merit roll recognition have an average of 87 or above with no grade below a C. Local students include senior Lindsay Neist of Howertons; juniors Lauren Crockett of Irvington, Blair Fisher of Lottsburg, Alli Johnson of Aylett, and Margaret Moncure and Jessica Stokes, both of Tappahannock; sophomore Catherine Chilton of Lancaster; and freshman Alexandra Newman of Lancaster.

Boarding students earning merit roll recognition include seniors Lucy Brandon, Ray Kurtis, Maggie Lu, Evita Moody, Emily Nein, Fola Ogundiran and Patti Webb; juniors Yukari Aizawa, Suzanne Atchison, Sarah Belen, Veazey Bobo, Robin Ridderhof, Margot Seglem, Cariad Shepherd, Patricia Van Pelt and Meredith Walsh; sophomores Jessica Bailey, Emily Hodkins and Danielle Urey; freshmen Sade Bowen, Ja Kwon, Regina Saravia and Eileen Tsai; and eighth-graders Min Jung Kim and Kate Matthews.
