That’s because the exhibit will include oil on canvas portraits of local families, as well as a new mixed media religious artwork titled “Ave Maria.”

This magical portrait of young Whit Rudder, grandson of Grace Rhinesmith of Miller’s Tavern, is one of the works that will be on display at the spring show by SMS artists-in-residence Konst and Konstantina Konstantinov.
The public is invited to the show’s opening on Saturday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s Community/Technology Center at 604 Water Lane. A reading by SMS Fine Arts Chair Catherine Neuhardt-Minor, an internationally known poet, will highlight the event. The show will remain open during the school’s regular weekday hours until April 23.
