SMS Announces Honor, Merit Roll Students

Tappahannock (June 11, 2004) - Head of School Margaret R. Broad is pleased to announce the names of students who have earned a place on the school’s honor and merit rolls for the third and final trimester of the 2003-2004 academic year.

Students named to the honor roll have an average of 90 or above with no grade below a B. Local students include juniors Neillee Katona and Palmer Ware of Dunnsville, sophomores Megan Burton of Montross and Allison Ryan of Tappahannock, and freshmen Ligon Brooks of Miller’s Tavern, Michelle Burch of Burgess and Chelsea Jacobs of Dunnsville.

Boarding students named to the honor roll include seniors Cariad Shepherd and Jessica White; juniors Vera Attaway, Rachel Chang, Jennifer Clark and Nozomi Yamaguchi; sophomores Emily Reynolds and Eileen Tsai; freshmen Su Jin Jeon, Min Jung Kim, Da Hae Lee, Taylor Miller and Aubrey Sozer; and eighth-graders Heather Lin and Rose Patrick.

Students earning merit roll recognition have an average of 87 or above with no grade below a C. Local students include seniors Lauren Crockett of Irvington, Blair Fisher of Lottsburg, Alli Johnson of Aylett, Margaret Moncure of Tappahannock and Allison Smith of Warsaw; juniors Annie Arnest of Kinsale and Catherine Chilton of Lancaster; and sophomores Jessica Crockett of Irvington, Sydney Harris of Tappahannock, Alexandra Newman of Lancaster and Sarah Reilly of Bruington; and eighth-grader Gretchen Smither of Kilmarnock.

Boarding students earning merit roll recognition include seniors Yin Chen Liu and Tirza Romero; juniors Elizabeth Brown and Andrea Martinez; sophomores Sally Giles, Millie Hardison, Laura Hubbell, Jennie Lynne Leonard, Maggie Lin, Abbey Potter, Kris Price and Brooke Shafer; and freshmen Mary Brawley, Katie Coffey and Dakota Cox.
