Photo left: St. Margaret’s School colleagues recently honored former librarian Winifred Delano by establishing a state and local history collection for the school’s library. Delano, a Reedville resident, first served on the SMS faculty from 1959 to 1962. She took time off to raise her daughters, rejoined the faculty in 1983, retired in 1999 and returned to serve as interim librarian for part of the 2002-2003 academic year. She is shown here with current librarian Dale Harter and one of the collection’s first books, The Hornbook of Virginia History. |
