FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tappahannock (February 10, 2006) -

Area residents are invited to join the St. Margaret’s School community for “Stewardship of the Environment: Virginia and Africa,” a multi-media presentation by Mike Roberts, founder and executive director of Return to Nature, Inc. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the school’s library on Water Lane.

A conservation educator, Roberts spends much of his time teaching elementary school children throughout Virginia about the environment and how to preserve it. In addition, he has traveled to Canada, Montana, the Everglades and Africa, photographing plants and animals to help people of all ages appreciate the importance of natural resources and understand their role in conserving them. He is a contributing writer and photographer for Virginia Wildlife magazine and a columnist for Cooperative Living magazine.

Return to Nature, Inc., a non-profit organization, is the official outreach affiliate of the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. Other supporting organizations include The National Wild Turkey Federation the Virginia State Chapter of The National Wild Turkey Federation, and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

The SMS Speakers Series is a series of free, public presentations sponsored by St. Margaret’s School. Future programs include mystery novelist Ted Blain of Woodberry Forest School on April 4.
